Usage guide
Get started with Skylark in a few steps, from subscriptions to routing.
Add a subscription
On the Subscriptions page, paste a Clash / V2Ray / SIP008 link or a single-node link; it's fetched and auto-updated on a schedule.
Test & pick a node
On the Nodes page, test all nodes in one click and sort by latency or speed; or use Auto-select so URLTest keeps the fastest node.
Enable proxy / TUN
Back on the Dashboard, turn on System Proxy for rule-based proxying; switch to TUN mode when you need to capture all traffic.
Configure routing
On the Routing page, enable quick rule packs (block ads, mainland-direct, Telegram…) or add remote rule sets, then save and apply.
Install & allow
If the system blocks the first launch, allow it with the steps below.
macOS
- 1Open the .dmg and drag Skylark into Applications.
- 2If the first launch says “damaged” or “unverified developer”, right-click Skylark → Open → Open again.
- 3If it still won’t open, run xattr -cr /Applications/Skylark.app in Terminal and retry.
Windows
- 1Run the installer; if SmartScreen shows “Windows protected your PC”, click More info → Run anyway.
- 2The first time you enable TUN it auto-elevates via UAC and downloads the WinTun driver — click Yes.
- 3Some antivirus tools may false-positive — add Skylark to your trust list.
Uninstall
- Quit from the tray, then drag Skylark from Applications to the Trash; to fully clean up, delete the Skylark data folder under ~/Library/Application Support.
- Quit from the tray, then uninstall Skylark from Settings → Apps; to fully clean up, delete the Skylark data folder under %APPDATA%.
Advanced usage
Once you’ve got the basics, use these to fine-tune routing and nodes.
Custom routing rules
Route by domain / GeoSite / IP / port / process, sending each app to proxy, direct, or reject.
Remote rule sets
Subscribe to community rule sets (ad-block, mainland domains, streaming…) that auto-update on a schedule.
Proxy groups & chains
Orchestrate nodes with URLTest / Select groups, or chain multiple hops to switch exits per scenario.
Core management
The built-in updater downloads and switches the sing-box core; a downloaded core takes priority over the bundled one — handy for trying or rolling back.
